Olivia Sailer - National Merit Finalist

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition to recognize top performing juniors nationwide who meet entry requirements, which primarily includes scoring very high marks on the PSAT.

Each year, some 1.6 million high school students enter the competition.  50,000 of these students are recognized for their academic accomplishments.  Of these 50,000 students, approximately 16,000 are selected as semi-finalists.  This is less than 1% of the total test takers nationwide.

We received notification back in September that our very own Olivia Sailer was one of these semi-finalists.  Although this is an amazing feat in and of itself, Olivia was not done.  In fact, it has been released to the public that Olivia has now been selected as a finalist for the 2018 National Merit Scholarship.  Olivia is the second W-K student ever to achieve this amazing accomplishment.  As a finalist, Olivia will now have the opportunity to receive a corporate sponsor special scholarship, as well as be one of the 8700 students (.01%) to receive a National Merit Scholarship.

It is with great pride that W-K awarded this certificate of merit to Olivia Sailer who has advanced to Finalist standing in the National Merit Scholarship Program of two thousand and eighteen by demonstrating distinguished performance and high potential for future academic accomplishment.
