My name is Jessica Arens, at the school I go by Nurse Jess. I am excited to be here. I provide beneficial resources and education. Such as hygiene, maturation, hydration, poison prevention, mental health, potty training, etc. The list goes on as I develop in my role, feel free to contact me, I am here to help!
Resources
Eyes of Hope – W-K has partnered with Eyes of Hope to assist students in need of vision care. This care includes a vision screen, frame and lenses. The certificate is valid at: Rochester Family Eye Clinic in Rochester, MN. If receiving vision care is a struggle, please email or call me so that I can assist you with receiving a Gift Certificate for your student
Coming up
- Immunization Messaging – I have partnered with MIIC to provide a texting service to students who are in need of immunizations before the 24-25 SY. Messaging will be sent out throughout the summer to remind you to make an appointment. I have also sent out mail regarding students who need this updated.
- IHP – If your student has an IHP plan, I have mailed families the new form for the 24-25 SY. Please have this completed in a timely manner and sent back to the school so that we can provide appropriate care to your student.
- Health Fair Day – I am currently in the process of building a health fair day that focuses on receiving immunizations, education on resources, etc. There will be more to come!
