I teach all first grade students in both classes for Science. During the year, we will be doing a lot of hands-on activities when studying the different units in science. The students will be investigating about various topics such as insects and life cycles, sea life and habitats and much much more! We plant seeds and record their growth. During the Weather unit, we make and use tools to measure elements of weather. We learn to read thermometers, make rain gauges for measuring rainfall amounts and flags to measure wind speed. With such a dynamic program, we are sure to plant the seeds for our future scientists! Here is a list of the areas that we will be studying in First Grade.
